In 2019, Swift publicly disclosed that [[Scooter Braun]]'s Ithaca Holdings had acquired Big Machine Label Group — and with it the master recordings of her first six albums — in a deal she described as having been made without her knowledge or opportunity to purchase the recordings herself.
