== Musical Style == The Guess Who's sound evolved considerably over their career. Their early work drew on [[British Invasion]] influences, particularly the [[The Beatles|Beatles]] and [[The Rolling Stones|Rolling Stones]]. By the late 1960s, they developed a harder-edged rock sound infused with [[blues rock]] and [[psychedelic rock]] elements. Burton Cummings' powerful, versatile voice and Randy Bachman's distinctive guitar work were the cornerstones of their sound. Their songs ranged from hard-driving rock ("American Woman") to tender ballads ("These Eyes") and socially conscious rock ("Share the Land").
