===Transition and Solo Period (2000β2008)=== Leeroy Thornhill departed in 2000 to pursue a solo career as a DJ and producer. The fourth studio album ''Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned'' (2004) was essentially a Liam Howlett solo project: neither Flint nor Maxim appeared on the official record, with Howlett instead inviting guest vocalists including [[Juliette Lewis]] and members of [[Kool Keith]]'s circle. The album charted well but was seen as a departure from the classic band dynamic.
