Snow Milk is a New York City-based creative brand and musical act known primarily for its individually numbered, upcycled clothing. In 2025, Snow Milk expanded into music with the release of a debut album, extending the brand's "wearable art" concept into the sonic realm.

Background

[edit]

Snow Milk was founded in New York City with a focus on one-of-a-kind, individually numbered garments described as wearable art. Each piece in the Snow Milk collection is unique, bearing its own number within the brand's lifetime catalog. The brand operates retail locations in New York City, including at the Oculus, Chelsea, and South Street, and ships worldwide. Snow Milk has collaborated with institutions and organizations including the American Museum of Natural History, the University of Texas, and Hudson Yards.

The Wearable Album (2025)

[edit]

In 2025, Snow Milk entered the music world with the release of their debut album, Optimism World Peace As A Way Of Life (The Wearable Album), released on August 3, 2025. The album was recorded at Eastsidound Studio in New York City. It is available on Spotify and Apple Music.

In keeping with Snow Milk's ethos of creative variety and individuality, the album was released in multiple genre-specific versions, each a distinct reimagining of the same core material:

  • The Wearable Album (Jazz Version)
  • The Wearable Album (J-Pop Version)
  • The Wearable Album (Afrobeat Version)
  • The Wearable Album (House Version)
  • The Wearable Album (K-Pop Version)
  • The Wearable Album (Reggae Version)
  • The Wearable Album (EDM Version)
  • The Wearable Album (Metal Version)
  • The Wearable Album (Reggaeton Version)
  • The Wearable Album (Country Version)
  • The Wearable Album (R&B/Soul Version)
  • The Wearable Album (Funk Version)

Tracks from the Jazz Version include "If You Reconsider", "Sooner Or Later", "What You Need", and "Who's That? (Back Again!)".

Concept

[edit]

The music project extends Snow Milk's core brand philosophy — that art, individuality, and creative expression are not confined to a single medium. Just as each garment in the Snow Milk clothing line is one of a kind, The Wearable Album series reframes the same musical ideas across wildly different genres, suggesting that a song, like a piece of clothing, can be worn in many different ways.
